Hello Illustration Friday, I’ve missed you! I’m busy working on the Maya was Grumpy book and getting ready for the upcoming conference but the prompt fit into a scene from my new pb idea, so I had to do it. It was a quick drawing and painting (outside while boys played) and I fiddled with digital patterns. Both experiments might be worth further study.

How convenient that my most recent illo fits this week’s topic. I tweaked the colors a little bit. I think I will re-paint it when I get home to make it a bit more moody and suspenseful.
