Thank you for your words of encouragement on my blog today. I need every bit I can get! I was most happy to visit your site and peruse your illustrations… you have quite a unique style! Love your use of delicate linework and bold colors, it’s a nice juxtaposition (big word for me!). Your monkeys are cutie patootie. Lots of character in the faces of those humans, perfect for mad scientists.
I’ve been holding back my comment, because I wanted to wait until my entry was finished…not happenin’ right now! Anyway, as usual, you’re a favorite this week. Those monkeys are adorable, but the expressions on the scientists face are what had me cracking up! Hey, you know what? There’s a little bit of a Quentin Blake thing going on with your people. Do you see it, or is it just me?
Thanks for all the comments. The funny thing about this illo is that I was flipping through my sketchbook and saw an old sketch and decided to re-vamp it for this week’s challenge. I was also limited in my watercolors as I only brought a few tubes to Texas with me so I had to mix the colors (which was fun)and I didn’t have my handy pens, I bought an extrs fine sharpie from Wal-mart. So, I guess change really is good.
And for Dee, you hit the nail on the head. I loooooove Quentin Blake and the books he illustrated for Roald Dahl.
HAHAHAHAHAHHA THIS IS GREAT!!!!

Nice colour´s mix.

this is very lovely and funny and a great interpretation…I am still thinking about mine cuz this prompt is hard!
As always, I love it! Great that you got to complete this while away from home, keep at it!
